HI, FRIENDS!!

I’m Maegan, otherwise known as The BakerMama. I’m so happy you’re here, and honored to be a part of your “boarding” journey. 

I come by my love of boards honestly — my mom served our food family-style on a wooden lazy susan when I was a kid, and my dad has made his own boards by hand for years. When my husband, Brandon, and I were just two newlyweds living in a tiny apartment in Boston, my dad would sometimes send us 40 boards at a time (even though we barely had room to store them). We’ve passed down this way of sharing food to our four children and, now, I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you. 

As I started my blog and boards quickly became my “thing,” I realized that I wanted very specific features in the boards I was using. I wanted certain sizes and details. Different colors or a higher quality wood. And when I couldn’t find what I was looking for, what’s a girl to do but make her own? 

So I did, and it was so important to me that Boards by The BakerMama was created with my family’s help. My dad makes every single board you see and my kids are my test audience. It was my mom and her lazy susan that started it all. 

For me, food has always been about bringing people together. And I believe that serving food on a board brings people together in a truly special way. It’s an experience, it’s enjoyable, and it makes eating fun! 

I’ve welcomed you into my kitchen for years, and now I’m thrilled to join you in yours.
